On Saturday, June 23, Joanna gave birth to a baby boy, making their family a party of seven! “Our baby boy, Crew Gaines, is here and we couldn’t be more in love,” Joanna, 40, shared in an Instagram caption. “He made an unexpected (and speedy) entrance into the world two and a half weeks early—which, if you ask me, is fitting given he was a sweet surprise from day one. We want to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers. We are so grateful for the overwhelming support and love we’ve received.”

But wait, there’s more! Joanna didn’t stop at just sharing the adorable newborn pictures. She also posted a heartwarming photo from the hospital that featured her and Chip's four older children—13-year-old Drake, 11-year-old Ella, nine-year-old Duke, and eight-year-old Emmie Kay—all gathered around the door to the delivery room, eagerly trying to peek inside. “One of my favorite pics a friend showed me after Crew was born. Interestingly, Crew’s name marks a break from the Gaines family’s usual naming tradition. Chip and Joanna have always had a theme for their children's names. The boys’ names each start with the letter “D,” while the girls’ names start with the letter “E.” But with Crew, they decided to shake things up a bit. It’s a fresh start, a new chapter in the Gaines family story, and it seems like they couldn’t be happier with their decision.
